Eva Holm Foosnæs (* 26. November 1983) ist eine norwegische Komponistin, Dirigentin und Pianistin.

Leben

Eva Holm Foosnæs wuchs in Steinkjer in Trøndelag auf und hatte seit 2009 unzählige Aufträge und Engagements als Dirigentin, Korrepetitorin, Korrepetitorin und Pianistin. Seit 2018 ist sie zudem hauptberuflich als freischaffende Komponistin tätig. Sie hat jetzt ihre Basis in Trondheim.

Ihr kompositorisches Schaffen umfasst vor allem Vokalmusik, Musiktheater und Oper, aber auch größere instrumentale Orchesterwerke. Foosnæs hat eine formelle Ausbildung als Komponist durch die Norwegische Technische Universität für Wissenschaft und Technologie (NTNU), das Conservatorio di Musica di Perugia und die Robert Schumann Hochschule für Musik.

Unter den Stipendien, die sie erhalten hat, sind RWE Dea / Norwegian Research Council, Nord-Trøndelag Art Grant, Trøndelag County Municipality, Tono erwähnenswert und sie gewann den ASAWCA Allmänna Sången & Anders Wall International Composition Award 2019 und den Ortus 4th New Music Competition 2020 (Manhattan New York).

Life

Eva Holm Foosnæs grew up in Steinkjer in Trøndelag and has had countless commissions and engagements as a conductor, répétiteur, accompanist and pianist since 2009. She has also been a full-time freelance composer since 2018. She is now based in Trondheim.

Her compositional output includes mainly vocal music, music theatre and opera, but also larger instrumental orchestral works. Foosnæs has formal training as a composer through the Norwegian Technical University of Science and Technology (NTNU), the Conservatorio di Musica di Perugia and the Robert Schumann Hochschule für Musik.

Among the grants she has received, RWE Dea / Norwegian Research Council, Nord-Trøndelag Art Grant, Trøndelag County Municipality, Tono are worth mentioning and she won the ASAWCA Allmänna Sången & Anders Wall International Composition Award 2019 and the Ortus 4th New Music Competition 2020 (Manhattan New York).
